I was in foster care for 11 years. I went in at age 7 and aged-out at 18.

I was in 12 placements, foster homes and groups homes. (Not including the first which was an emergency placement home)
The longest placement was 2 years.

It sucks.

For kids in long-term care, it is usually many. If you are over 5 years old, you are screwed and probably won?t get adopted. So instead, you move around different homes.
