Holmgren hopes to finish contract with Browns

BEREA, Ohio (AP) ? Browns President Mike Holmgren hopes to finish his contract with a Cleveland franchise in the midst of an ownership change.

Holmgren says Monday that he has "never quit anything in my life" and that he intends to complete his five-year contract which expires after the 2014 season. Jimmy Haslam III bought the Browns for $1 billion last month from Randy Lerner, who hired Holmgren in 2010. Haslam's purchase is pending the approval of the other NFL's owners and is expected to be completed by mid-October.

Holmgren has had positive interactions with Haslam, whom he calls a "good man." Holmgren doesn't feel the ownership switch has been disruptive as the Browns prepare for the upcoming season.

Holmgren wouldn't address the possibility of his role changing when Haslam takes over, saying "let's see how it goes."

Help With Back Pain - Changing the Call Center - Health Blog

My uncle had always been a very strong man. So when he started complaining about intense pains in his back, I was surprised. He had never felt badly before. When I saw him again a month later though, he was back to his usual self. I had asked what he did to aid the pains, and he said that he had gone to see a Chiropractor in Dallas. This was a great thing for him to have done. I was glad.

Fit and Fierce column: A personal trainer should have good rapport ...

There are several decisions to make when incorporating exercise into life. These decisions include what exercises to do, where to do them and which days will work best with an established schedule. While these questions, when answered, essentially convert a workout plan to reality, the decision to hire a trainer can have the biggest impact on the success of reaching fitness goals.

With every new Club Fitness membership, a free one-hour training session is offered by Dynamic Fitness Management, a St. Louis-based personal training company. These sessions begin with a discussion of fitness goals along with a weigh-in and the taking of body measurements. Then, after what is sure to be a challenging workout, trainers help start the recovery process by stretching the muscles targeted during that session.

Free sessions like this one are a fantastic way to discover if investing time and money in hiring a personal trainer is the way to go. If you enjoy being challenged and have a good rapport with the trainer, then hiring him or her may be the best decision.

This session may also demonstrate the benefits of working with a trainer. It is a common misconception that trainers do little more than lead their clients through exercises, pushing them to finish their sets. In reality, trainers spend countless hours studying varying aspects of human physiology, what movements work best for specific muscles and how to incorporate them with clients? current fitness levels. They watch closely to ensure that good form is maintained at all times to achieve the greatest benefits while also avoiding potential injury.

In addition, trainers will cater to clients? other goals and interests. For example, after I took up running, my trainer added specific lower body exercises to my routine in order to build the muscles that will help me achieve my goal of running a 5k.

Trainers can offer support through times of personal change as well. They understand that challenging times induce weight gain and that the psyche must be repaired in addition to the outside. This is not to say that they should replace the work of mental health professionals, but they can offer extra support and encouragement when necessary.

Early on in my health journey, I faced an emotional challenge and was both shocked and thrilled when my Dynamic Fitness Management trainer, Darin Hulslander, stepped in to talk me through it and help me stay on track with my long-term goals. Over the past seven months, we have built a trust that now allows me to feel comfortable letting him know when I am struggling.

There is a technical side to choosing a trainer. These technicalities deal specifically with certification and cost.

On his blog, fitnessbydarin.blogspot.com, Hulslander explains that ?a certified trainer is nationally recognized for studying and practicing proper fitness movements and plans.? This is a warning to readers that there are so-called trainers without certification who ?have no clue what they?re doing.? Having suffered injuries after working out with an uncertified so-called trainer, I can testify that this warning is not to be ignored.

Finally, the main obstacle to hiring a personal trainer is that the cost of the sessions is high. Hiring a professional trainer is an important key to success, and there is a fair cost for that expertise.

Still, training sessions do not have to drain one?s bank account. Dynamic Fitness Management offers packages that are split up into monthly payments. My sessions break down to just $60 per week, which is far less than I used to spend dining out several days each week.

On a quest for personal growth, trainers serve as experts to guide and lead us to be the best we can be. Hiring a personal trainer is the single best choice I?ve made in my health and fitness journey. It could make all the difference in your success, as well.

Interior Decoration: Japanesen Garden

If you've ever moved to a new home for outdoor recreation area the gap with the weeds you know that your landscaping ideas are not always easy to process, especially when they are needed in a hurry!

Since most of us have to deal with a small piece of land, it is important that we use our design ideas for landscaping in the best way possible to ensure that the available surface is used to full capacity. For this reason it is important to spend time in the garden landscaping before you dig!

Designing a garden can be fun, but before you can delete all the ideas of the landscape, you need to decide what should be included in the design of the landscaped garden. Consider the following:

You have children who need playgrounds?

Is there any family members of Flower Gardening?

There will probably other issues that are specific to your family, so my advice is to bring each family and ask them how they think the garden will be used.

Bukit Jelutong New Home Garden Landscape

Once you know what you need in the garden, it's time to start putting your ideas in landscape design practice. Draw a plan of the garden so you know exactly which components should be placed where. You may find that you do not have space for all your landscaping ideas, have to prioritize, making room for those elements that are most important.

If you do not need to show the region can not be seen in the garden of gravel instead of lawn. Only this will cause a lot less work to maintain its beauty, is also a modern alternative.

When it comes to flowers, unless you are very passionate gardener, who enjoys planting, pruning and seed collecting, it is probably best avoided in the design of the garden and flower beds closed growing shrubs and perennials that are easy to cultivate and maintain on the contrary. These give the garden to add color and texture, without causing too much extra work. And 'Light, the smaller your outdoor space, small shrubs should be.

Although it is likely that many design ideas for landscaping your own gardening magazines and Web sites advice is always helpful and can often help to develop their ideas for gardening.

One area that each family should include in your landscape design is an area of ??entertainment. Consider how many people who entertain in the country at large and is reflected in the size of your yard. You can include a built-in barbecue or use a portable version that can be kept out of sight when not in use.

All that remains now is that I wish him good luck in implementing your design ideas for landscaping and to say that I hope you enjoy your new garden.

Pakistan imam held for evidence-tampering in blasphemy case

A Pakistani cleric who submitted evidence against a Christian girl accused of blasphemy has been arrested on suspicion of burning pages from the Koran and evidence-tampering, police said Sunday.

Rimsha has been in custody since she was arrested in the poor Islamabad suburb of Mehrabad more than two weeks ago accused of burning papers containing verses from the Koran, in breach of Pakistan's strict blasphemy laws.

Hafiz Mohammed Khalid Chishti, the imam of the mosque in Rimsha's area who first handed over evidence, was arrested on Saturday after his assistants told a magistrate he had added pages from the Koran to the burnt pages to strengthen the case against the girl.

"The imam was arrested after his deputy Maulvi Zubair and two others told a magistrate he added pages from the Koran to the burnt pages brought to him by a witness," police investigator Munir Hussain Jaffri said.

Zubair and the two others, Mohammad Shahzad and Awais Ahmed, told police they had urged Chishti not to interfere with the papers, Jaffri said.

"They protested that he should not add something to the evidence and he should give the evidence to the police as he got it and should not do this," Jaffri said.

"But they said Chishti said: 'You know this is the only way to expel the Christians from this area'."

On August 24 Chishti told AFP he thought Rimsha had burned the pages deliberately as part of a Christian "conspiracy" to insult Muslims and said action should have been taken sooner to stop what he called their "anti-Islam activities" in Mehrabad.

Jaffri said the cleric was arrested at his home on Saturday under the blasphemy law for allegedly burning pages from the Koran to add to the evidence against Rimsha.

"He has committed a greater offence than the girl by burning the pages himself and adding to the evidence that was given to him and he should get punishment," Jaffri said.

A medical report earlier this week said Rimsha appeared to be around 14 years old, which would make her a minor, and had a mental age below her true age, but the court has yet to decide whether to accept the assessment.

Some reports have said Rimsha has Down's Syndrome and her case has prompted concern from Western governments and anger from rights groups, who warn the blasphemy legislation is often abused to settle personal vendettas.

She is being held in a high-security jail in Islamabad's twin city Rawalpindi and on Friday a judge extended her remand for another two weeks.

Blasphemy is a very sensitive subject in the Pakistan, where 97 percent of the 180 million population are Muslims, and allegations of insulting Islam or the Prophet Mohammed often prompt a furious public reaction.

Indians top hot Rangers to snap 6-game skid

Associated Press Sports

updated 9:51 p.m. ET Sept. 1, 2012

CLEVELAND (AP) - Vinnie Pestano took advantage of his chance to save a Cleveland Indians win.

With All-Star closer Chris Perez unavailable and the Indians entering with a six-game losing streak, Pestano went from his role as setup man to get the final four outs and save a 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.

"A little extra work never hurt anybody," Pestano said after his first save of the season and fourth of his career.

The win was Cleveland's sixth in 34 games since July 27 and came with Perez not even at the ballpark. He was with his wife Melanie, who delivered a baby girl earlier in the day.

"The bullpen was terrific," Indians manager Manny Acta said. "To stop these guys is huge. At any moment (the Rangers) can turn around the score."

Acta said he had no worries about putting Pestano in to pitch in the eighth inning with two outs and a runner on first.

"He was the best guy out there to stop the losing streak," Acta said. "We had to take care of the game today."

The Indians are just 12-36 since the All-Star break, with losing streaks of 11, nine and six games.

Texas entered with a four-game lead in the AL West over Oakland and lost for just the fifth time in 16 games.

"It's not always the best team that wins, it's the team that plays the best," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "They put four runs on us in the first inning and they made it stand up."

Jeanmar Gomez (5-7) gave up three runs and four hits over 5 2-3 innings in his first start for Cleveland since June. He was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday.

Cleveland tagged Scott Feldman (6-11) early and improved to 42-24 when scoring four or more runs.

Carlos Santana had a two-run single before Casey Kotchman and Jack Hannahan each had RBI groundouts in the first inning for the 4-0 lead.

"We had a lot of quality at-bats that inning," Acta said. "Then we allowed Feldman to get into a groove and he was dropping his breaking ball over the plate."

Feldman pitched shutout ball for his last five innings, but fell to 0-5 in five starts since Aug. 5.

"It was a nightmare first inning there," Feldman said. "They came out swinging and it seemed like everything they swung at they got some hits. I dug a little too deep a hole."

David Murphy hit his 12th homer leading off the third for the Rangers' first hit. He walked to open the fifth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Mitch Moreland to make it 4-2.

Adrian Beltre's 26th homer with two outs in the sixth made it 4-3 and finished Gomez.

Gomez opened the season in Cleveland's rotation and was 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA in four April starts before struggling and being sent to Columbus on June 24.

"He had a good sinker, good two-seam fastball, but the third time through the lineup, they started getting to him a little," Acta said.

Elvis Andrus hit safely against Cleveland for the 28th straight game, setting a Rangers record for a hitting streak against one team. Ivan Rodriguez had hit in 27 straight against Tampa Bay in 1998-2000.

Andrus extended the streak in his final at-bat in strange fashion. He took a big cut at a pitch from Rogers and sent a weak dribbler that hugged the third base line. It rolled foul at one point, weaved back into fair territory and Andrus laughed as he reached first base when the ball stopped at the third base bag.

Gomez started in place of Roberto Hernandez, out with a sprained right ankle. Hernandez left a start Monday because of the injury and tweaked it during fielding practice on Thursday. He will wear a protective boot for at least a week.

Cleveland also was without All-Star shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera, a late lineup scratch with a sore right wrist. Cabrera came in on defense in the ninth.

Notes: Russ Canzler, called up from Triple-A Columbus, went 2 for 4 as the DH in his Indians debut. ... Texas manager Ron Washington said he will try and get some playing time for prospect Jurickson Profar. When he does debut, the 19-year-old infielder will become the youngest Rangers player since C Ivan Rodriguez, also at age 19 in 1991. ... Washington wants to give Andrus some rest and used him as the DH. Andrus has missed only four games, starting 123 at shortstop. ... Cabrera has hit .103 over his past 11 games and .242 in the second half. ... Fans cheered as a member of the U.S. Navy Leapfrog team parachuted into the ballpark with the American flag during the national anthem.
